River City Days Community Parade

Welcome all businesses, organizations, neighborhoods and other groups who wish to have a unit in the parade at our summer festival.  The fee/donation that is collected goes toward donation to the school marching band(s).

PARADE INFO:
NOTE:  ALL PARADE UNITS SHOULD BE AT THE GOVERNMENT CENTER PARKING LOT (4th and Beech St.) FOR LINE-UP STARTING AT 10:30 AM.

RCD Parade begins at 1 PM

PARADE ROUTE 2017:
The parade begins at the Chaska Government Center on 4th Street and Beech Street and proceeds down 4th Street to Ash St, then Right on Ash St. to 5th St, left on 5th to Oak St. (Around by Auburn Manor).  Continuing south on Oak St. to 2nd St., which is great viewing, continuing back to the Court House.  We ask that you not park along the parade route Sunday after 12:00 noon to allow for spectator non-obscured viewing.  (Parking will be available in the St. Johns Lutheran parking area a well as neighboring streets.

Thank you to the 2017 emcees Mr. Rick Ford and Mr. Greg Anderson.  They will be announcing the parade units and also throw in some good conversation and perhaps some Chaska history quips!

The Chaska RCD Parade Committee invites you to participate in the Chaska River City Days Community Parade  on Sunday, July 30, 2017  beginning at 1 PM parading in beautiful historic downtown.
This invitation is open for all to bring a unit to represent your neighborhood, local business, group or organization to the community during our summer festival.  The fee/donation that is collected is donated to support the school marching band(s).

Welcome the 2017  Chaska RCD Parade Marshall:  Cindy Hall

Cindy has been a volunteer for Chaska River City Days for the last 10 years.  She has been the coordinator of the Arts and Crafts, Medallion Hunt and Volunteer recruiter at RCD.
She has served in the Marine Corps. Also served as a Cub Scout Leader, Soccer Coach, Sunday School Teacher, and had been involved with Head Start. She also has volunteered at the Chaska Christmas in May program assisting in repairing homes in the Chaska area.
Her hobbies include gardening at her home near downtown Chaska, camping and keeping her husband Don busy.  Congratulations Cindy!
