“The Solid Gold Band” – Welcome to the party! 2016 marks another year of performing at RCD. They are a professional band playing danceable classic rock/variety music. In presenting the “Soul of Rock” show, they feature the great music of Rock’s first four decades. The group’s current version represents one of the Minnesota’s longest running active rock bands.Sponsored by the Chaska RCD Entertainment Sponsors.
“HORNUCOPIA”- The experienced and talented musicians of the Power of 10 are breaking new ground as Hornucopia, an innovative Tribute Show. Distinct from tribute bands that pay homage to a single band or genre of music, Hornucopia will pay tribute to many bands and artists that feature horn sections in the rock era. This initiative will feature groups and compositions that span the past 6 decades (1960 – today) and will celebrate multiple genres of music.
MN Valley Community Band Concert goers can expect to hear music of stage and screen, as well as the “Star and Stripes Forever.” This band is made up of 40 plus dedicated members from Chaska and the surrounding communities who enjoy playing for the public. Bring your favorite lawn chair or picnic blanket and enjoy Chaska’s version of the ‘Boston Pops!’ Barry Fox-Director. Sponsored by the Chaska Park and Rec Dept.
The River City Singers- (Formerly the Chaska Community Choir) A perfect way to top off a great week-end of activities at Chaska River City Days. Under the direction of Caroline Swanson, the choir will be performing their annual concert at the Chaska High School auditorium.
Chaska Middle School– Jazz Ensemble, Garage Band, Movie Band, Stomp, and Country Bluegrass Bands. Come a listen to a group of dedicated students who wish to entertain you. Under the direction of Eric Songer and co-director Heidi Songer.
Jason Rohman- Jason Rohman is a Chaska musician who is currently producing his 1st sole Christian Rock album. Rohman has been recently playing every Wednesday afternoon for the Chaska Farmers Market at City Square Park.
Karaoke-Special Edition RCD – Our 15th Year! So you think you can sing? Come to the Gazebo and sign up. Performances at the Gazebo. Sponsored by Mike Tudor, Chaska Community Television. Prize drawings for registered participants sponsored by the Chaska Park and Rec Dept.
MEDALLION HUNT– The first clue will be posted on Saturday, July 23. The next one starts Monday-Saturday. The following clues will be posted on this web site, www.chaskarivercitydays.com . See the medallion hunt on the events page. Clues will also be posted at the Chaska Community Center, the Chaska Historical Society and on the Kiosk located on 4th and Walnut street at 2pm until the medallion is found. Winner receives $100.00 in Chaska Bucks. This event sponsored by U-Can-Tan Tanning and the RCD committee.
PRESENTATION OF THE 2017 RCD AMBASSADORS- The Chaska River City Days Ambassadors Program. The Ambassadors will proudly represent the RCD as well as the City of Chaska in a variety of public events. 2st Annual RCD CAR SHOW – A variety of car clubs from the area will be showcasing their cars at the RCD Community Parade on Sunday (1:00pm) and then parking in the City Square Park following the parade. Public is invited to vote on their favorite ride! Cash prizes and trophies awarded to the top 3 finishers!
SECOND STREET ART ON THE WALK This event is new for 2016. Featuring th studios/galleries of six Chaska artists and their artist friends on Saturday, July 30th, from 10 AM to 5 PM. Art will be for sales both inside and outside o the studios/galleries that span two blocks of Second Street from Hwy 41 eastward to Walnut Street, only one block south of one of the centers of the gala in the Chaska City Square Park. Visitors can expect to browse and buy art inside and outside of these studios and shop locations

CHASKA RIVER CITY 5 K FUN RUN FOR CHARITY
Saturday, July 30. Race registration and check in starts at 7:00 am. 5K race at 8:00am.
5 K course will start and end at or near the City Square Center. Trophies and Medals awarded. Proceeds to benefit the Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women. Pre-registration is recommended, but also can register on race day. See FUN RUN menu on our website for additional information or stop by any Chaska area chiropractic office for registration forms.
COUPLES GOLF SCRAMBLE – (Pending for 2017) a golf scramble will be held at the Chaska Par 30 on Sunday, July 30, 2017, 7am-4pm. Green fees are $12.00 per person. (Pull cart included in fee). Each team will consist of one man and one woman who play the best of their two shots throughout the round, with 1st and 2nd place trophies awarded. BREAKFAST IN THE PARK – Sunday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Join us for a delicious hot breakfast of pancakes, sausage, real fruit toppings, orange drink/coffee prepared by Chef Bob DeMaris and crew. Prepared and served under the tent on Walnut Street at the City Square Park. Proceeds will benefit Love INC. Love INC of Eastern Carver County provides a means for local area churches and other organizations of our community to work together to serve those among us who are in need of assistance. We work in partnership with CAP, Carver County, PROP and other local agencies.
Chaska Music Studios under the direction of Leslie Rieser, students will be performing musical selections for your intertainment from 10am-12pm at the Breakfast in the Park.
RCD KIDDIE PARADE- Inviting all kids to walk, bike, wagon or other mini-transportation. Decorate or wear costumes. This year’s theme is Disney characters. Sunday at 12:45 (line up at 12:30) at the Carver County Courthouse. Special guest(s) from “Frozen” will be in attendance.

ART IN THE PARK CRAFT FAIR – Offering a wide variety of hand crafted items and art from local and regional artist. City Square Park on Friday 4pm-Dusk. Saturday 10am-Dusk
CHASKA ROTARY STEAK AND CHICKEN FRY DINNER – Prepared and served by the Chaska Rotary Club. Meal includes a choice of Ribeye Steak or Chicken Breast, with corn on the cob, Caesar salad and trimmings. Saturday 5-8pm – City Square Park (East Side by the big tent on Walnut.
PIE AND ICE CREAM SOCIAL & FUNDRAISER-Chaska Moravian Church – Join us for food, fun and fellowship, while supporting the church at our annual fundraiser! Serving Sloppy Joes, Chips, Ice Cream Sundaes, Pie and Beverages, all enjoyed in climate-controlled comfort! 4-8:30pm and Sat. 11am-5:30pm at the Chaska Moravian Church across from the City Square Park. The sanctuary will be open for prayer and meditation. Also, stop in and view the photo entries to the RCD Photo Contest. Also available a nursing station for moms and babies.
FREE SLICED WATERMELON – Mr. Gary Cooper of Cooper’s Food Market has generously donated the watermelon and he will cut and serve you a slice of the tasty fruit on Friday from 5pm until it’s gone!
CASH BINGO GAMES – 2013 was our first year of Bingo at RCD and was a huge success. This year St. Nicholas of Carver will be hosting the BINGO games.
“WALK THE SIDEWALK SALE” – Take a break from the activities and stroll about the downtown for old-fashioned bargains and special offers inside and out.
FRIENDS OF CHASKA COMMUNITY LIBRARY USED BOOK SALE – Used book sale will be held at the City Hall Plaza on Thursday from 3pm to 8pm Friday from 9am-8pm, and Saturday from 9am-3pm. Proceeds are used to enhance the Chaska Library and educational programming.
SOUTHWEST METRO ED.COOPERATIVE/ MBC BLOOD DRIVE – Sponsored by the Southwest Metro Educational Cooperative. CHASKA SCHOOL OF DANCE – Presenting a variety of dance routines on our performances on Friday. Join in with us on Chaska’s Community Flash Mob Dance (all ages invited to join in on the dance) to the music of “UPTOWN FUNK” By Bruno Mars.” We also plan to honor our veterans during our performance.
STEP BY STEP MONTESSORI PRE-SCHOOL SINGERS -Enjoy the little voices of these talented young children.
